Hannah Simonovich is an Australian artist based in Newcastle, NSW, with over 20 years of experience. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Newcastle and is currently pursuing a Masters in Art Therapy.

In addition to her artistic practice, Hannah provides small group art lessons for children aged 5 to 17 years, art classes for preschools and schools along with adult classes and workshops. Hannah’s studio is located in Newcastle, where art classes, workshops and works can be viewed and purchased.

Working primarily with oil, acrylic, and oil pastel on canvas, Hannah employs an intuitive approach to painting that emphasises experimentation and the process of making. This methodology allows her work to develop organically, resulting in diverse styles that enhance the uniqueness of each piece. Drawing inspiration from the natural world and the emotive quality of colour, Simonovich's artwork explores themes such as memory, emotion and a sense of place.
